Sourdough Lime Poppyseed Bundt Cake

Hello! Today we are going to make a yummy cake, that is quite tasty. Here is the list for the ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 C Milk

  • 1 TBSP Lime Juice

  • 1 3/4 C Granulated Sugar

  • 1 TBSP Lime Zest or 6 drops Essential Oil

  • 2 C All-Purpose Flour

  • 1 TBSP Baking Soda

  • 1 TSP Salt

  • 2 TBSP Agave Nectar or 6 Doonks Stevia

  • 1 Sourdough Starter

  • 3 Eggs

  • 1 C Unsalted Butter, Melted

  • 1 TSP Vanilla

  • Powdered Sugar for Dusting


    Now onto the cake!

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour one full-sized Bundt pan. Set aside. Combine the milk and lime juice, and set aside for about 5 minutes. In a large bowl, mix together the sugar and lime zest(or EO). Using your fingers(or a spoon) , rub the zest into the sugar. To the lime sugar,add the flour, baking soda, salt, and poppy seeds. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk mixture, agave(or stevia), sourdough starter, eggs, butter, and vanilla. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Stir until all of the dry ingredients are moistened and the mixture is thoroughly combined. Spoon the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 20 minutes then transfer onto a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar just before serving, and enjoy! (Best when refrigerated)
